Mulch Madness

The Prince George's County Department of the Environment announces the return of our annual Mulch Madness giveaway event for County residents. This source reduction event will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 8 am to 1 pm and is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.  

• All attendees and employees are encouraged to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines.
• Residents must bring their own shovels, bags, and containers needed for loading/transporting mulch from dig-your-own locations, as well as their own tarps or other necessary equipment to cover/secure loads of mulch and compost in trucks and trailers.
• The event is for County residents only, please be prepared to provide proof of residency.
• Commercial entities and vehicles with commercial/business signage are prohibited.
