Information Technology Highlights

Telecommunications Transmission Facility Coordinating Committee

The TTFC Committee reviews and makes recommendations to the telecommunication carriers on their cell tower applications. Meetings are held at 1 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Cable Television Commission Meetings

The Cable Commission adjudicates subscriber complaints involving customer cable service or any other cable-related product or service. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

Mission

The Office of Information Technology is wholly dedicated to aligning technology efforts to support the strategic goals of the County. OIT will provide leadership, expertise, and resources in the ideation, development and deployment of innovative technologies and streamlined processes to improve government efficiency, business interaction and citizen access to government information and services.

Wanda M. Gibson

CIO and Director

Wanda Gibson has enjoyed an accomplished career as a technology executive in both private and public sector organizations, joining Prince George’s County as the Chief Information Officer and Director for the Office of Information Technology on July 8, 2019. In her role, Wanda is responsible for technology policy, governance, strategy and innovation, and the enterprise-wide technology environment and infrastructure, applications, data, web, and cyber security. Prior to joining Prince George’s County, Wanda served Fairfax County, Virginia as the Chief Technology Officer/Chief Information Officer and the Director of the Department of Information Technology for twenty years.
