Ronald E. Gill Jr. has served as the Director of Homeland Security since April 21, 2021, when he was sworn in a unanimous vote of confidence by the Prince George’s County Council. In this role, Director Gill oversees emergency operations and communications, the 9-1-1 center, emergency preparedness, incident response, and disaster recovery, among other responsibilities.
Mr. Gill is an experienced emergency management professional, a true leader who has more than 30 years of experience in the field of emergency services and first responder activities at regional and local levels of government
