We appreciate your interest in our organization and the animals in our care. We invite you to visit the animals at our state-of-the-art Animal Services Facility and Adoption Center (ASFAC). Lost animals and animals available for adoption can also be viewed through our website. PUBLIC NOTICES
Effective November 1, 2023 - Cat Nursery Closed
The ASFAC is experiencing an outbreak of feline panleukopenia. This highly contagious viral disease infects cats, especially kittens, and kills cells such as bone marrow and intestines, and can be fatal. The disease does not affect humans, but humans can spread it to unvaccinated cats.
Cat adoptions will proceed as scheduled in another designated adoption area. Dog adoptions and other pet services are not impacted at the ASFAC and will remain open.

Effective October 5, 2023 - Pet Adoptions Resume
The ASFAC has resumed walk-in adoptions for all pets, including dogs. The facility had been closed due to an outbreak of canine influenza.
To minimize the risk of disease, visitors are prohibited from walking through the facility. Our expert staff will assist you in selecting the perfect pet for your household. View adoptable animals at our facility:

Donations Needed
ASD is strongly encouraging donations of Kuranda beds of all sizes for our doggie friends, There are lots of benefits for pets sleeping on Kuranda Beds, including:

Donations of KMR Milk and Other Pet Supplies Still Needed!
Sizes and amounts of KMR milk and bottles for underage kittens are included in our wishlist.
We also are running low on enrichment items, such as toys and treats, critter supplies, supplies for our kennels, and leashes for volunteers and staff.

Donations can also be physically dropped off at this address during our regular open hours: Tuesdays - Fridays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. No appointment needed - donation bins are in the front lobby.
