Prince Georges County's TheBus

Welcome to Prince George’s County Transit System - known as TheBus!

Prince George's County operates TheBus, a County bus service, to meet local transportation needs of its residents and visitors. TheBus' fixed route system consists of 28 routes that cover more than 10,000 miles throughout the County. TheBus operates Monday through Saturday. No services are provided during major holidays (New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).

All TheBus and Call-A-Bus services are accessible and accept use of portable oxygen, respirators, and concentrators.

TheBus Service: 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. 
Customer Information: 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Operating Essential Service from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except on Federal and County Holidays.  Please see bus schedules page for the latest timetable for routes in service.  Face coverings required.

TheBus Fall 2023 Service Change 

TheBus, which currently operates under the Department of Public Works & Transportation(DPW&T) is proud to announce the kickoff for the Fall Service Change. These changes will enhance service frequency, extend operational hours, refine less popular routes, improve on-time performance, and change where some routes go to better connect riders to destinations.
